Wendy López
At the age of four, Wendy López started music classes, studied piano for a total of nine years and guitar for two years. She began singing when she was little, participating in the church choirs, then in a vocal ensemble in junior high and a classical and pop choir in high school. During her years at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, she sang in a vocal ensemble and toured with them to England and Scotland. Wendy also studied at the University of Malaga in Spain, earning credits toward her BA in Spanish Studies. She now also holds a Certificate in Interpretation and Translation from the University of California, Riverside.
Wendy went to Ecuador with Arbol Records as a graphic designer, were she was able to combine her four loves: art, music, Spanish and serving the Lord. Through Arbol Records, Wendy was able to record two albums and give various presentations all over Ecuador and Colombia.
Wendy and her husband Jairo have two daughters and make up part of the worship team at The River Christian Reformed Church in Redlands.
They participate together in their church's worship band, and on many occasions, Jairo accompanies Wendy as a soloist. They currently live in Southern California, where Jairo is a physician and Wendy is a worship leader and translator.
