Pacific Lifeline

Pacific Lifeline prevents chronic homelessness by empowering women in crisis to rebuild their lives and regain financial independance.

Family

Pacific Lifeline is a shelter where women and their children can stay for up to one year to learn to set and reach new life goals. Some of the families come from situations where the mothers were in prison, in drug rehab, or victims of domestic abuse.

The women often cannot imagine themselves not battered, working, and in their own apartment. But it is exciting to watch women and children rethink what they have always believed. Lasting change is possible through Pacific Lifeline's support.

Woman with Child

The women receive counseling, training and money management. Through some sense of normalcy and love, they can learn to break the cycle of domestic abuse and homelessness.

Kirsten Grubb, Development Coordinator at Pacific Lifeline says, "Our programs give families the tools they need to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. Our safe, clean and loving home gives children the opportunity to heal from the traumatic experiences they've had, and to bond with their mothers as they work together to rebuild their lives."

Members of the community recently helped families at Pacific Lifeline by bringing their families to a free concert held on Friday, April 13 at 7:00pm. Donations were collected. The concert featured nationally known musician Mary Rice Hopkins and her band and puppets. Charity Promotions wants to thank our sponsors Lewis Planned Communities, FIRST 5 San Bernardino, KB Home, and John R. Byerly, Inc.

Children

"Pacific Lifeline is excited about offering this service to the community. In our Home, we provide attachment therapy for the women and their children - a way for them to play together and bond.
